Jaguar recently announced a partnership with NVIDIA with the aim of delivering powerful AI in 2025 vehicles and beyond.
As part of its Reimagine strategy, Jaguar Land Rover (NYSE: TTM) announced a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to design their next generation safety and digital technology powered by AI. Starting in 2025, all new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles will be built on the NVIDIA Drive software-designed platform enabling active safety, semi-autonomous driving and parking, as well as driver assistance systems. Inside the vehicle, the system will deliver AI features including driver and occupant monitoring as well as advanced visualization of the vehicle’s environment.
NVIDIA, (NASDAQ: NVDA) has been a leader in artificial intelligence since its invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market. NVIDIA’s platform, NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion enables a suite of exterior and in-house data solutions. As the central nervous system NVIDIA Drive Hyperion also features DRIVE AV and DRIVE IX software, safety, security and networking systems plus surround sensors to provide 360-degree AI for driver assistance and safety tech. DRIVE Orin is the AI brains that runs the Land Rover Operating System.
Jaguar Land Rover will also leverage in-house developed data center solutions with NVIDIA DGX™ for training AI models and DRIVE Sim software built on NVIDIA Omniverse™ for real-time physically accurate simulation.
After 2025, software updates to new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles will no longer require a trip to the dealership. Jaguar Land Rover’s software-defined features and its end-to-end verification and validation architecture will enable the delivery of innovative assisted and automated driving services throughout the life of the vehicle via over-the-air software updates.
