The 2018 Acura MDX finally deliver’s on what the popular SUV needed the past few years, exclusive high-class style trims across a broad model range. The 2018 lineup includes a MDX Sport Hybrid Super Handling-All Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) model featuring the same cool powertrain enhancement as the NSX and the RLX Sport Hybrid, the innovative three-motor Sport Hybrid powertrain with electric torque vectoring.
The lineup is rounded out with the MDX with FWD or SH-AWD and available Advanced, Technology, and Entertainment Packages.
2018 Acura MDX
The new MDX offers a more aerodynamically enhanced exterior design tricked-out with available with new bold colors like Basque Red and sporty San Marino Red on Advance trims. The Advance Package offers genuine wood interior trim, a heated steering wheel and a Surround-View Camera System with six selectable viewing angles.
Advanced models can also be equipped with two second-row captain’s chairs and a center console with two additional USB ports for third-row passengers. Familiar tech like the keyless entry and push button start are now standard on some trims along with Bi-Directional Keyless Remote Engine Start, power folding side mirrors and HD Traffic available with the Technology Package.

The more stylish leather-clad interior of the 2018 MDX offers a redesigned dual-screen user interface with 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay™, and Android Auto™ and more intuitive menus.
A new ultra-widescreen Rear Entertainment System is also available with the Advance Entertainment Package.
2018 Acura MDX Rear Seat Entertainment System
The 2018 Acura MDX features a 3.5-liter direct-injected i-VTEC® V6 engine with 290 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque. The MDX with front-wheel drive and Idle Stop (included with Advance package) has a 23 mpg combined EPA (20 mpg city/27 highway). While the MDX with SH-AWD and Idle Stop boasts a 22 mpg combined EPA (19 mpg city/26 highway).
The 2018 Acura MDX offers the AcuraWatch™ suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies as standard equipment, which includes Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with low-speed follow and Road Departure Mitigation (RDM).
The 2018 Acura MDX earned a 5-Star NCAP overall vehicle score from the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and is expected to earn a TOP SAFETY PICK rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
