The limited edition Mopar ’13 Dodge Dart was the one of the anticipated modified whips at the Chicago Auto Show. The slick additions and the souped up specs are impressive. Last month, Chrysler and Mopar, whose had success with the Mopar ’10 Challenger and the Mopar ’11 Charger announced the debut of the ’13 Dodge Dart, an exclusive mid-sized sedan with Mopar swag inside and out.
Notable features on the Mopar ’13 Dodge Dart include improved aerodynamics with front chin spoiler and decklid spoiler and a premium brake kit with slotted rotors. The Mopar ’13 Dodge Dart has a 1.4 liter turbo engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 160hp Mopar Dart has performance tuned exhaust and 18’ aluminum wheels.
The interior of the Mopar ’13 Dodge Dart gives the feeling of an affluent yet comfortable race car. Mopar created a unique interior with its badge on the dash, steering wheel mats, and door-sill guards. The Mopar ’13 Dart also has an 8.4 inch navigation screen with UConnect and the first ever wireless charging for smart phones. Mopar’s unique blue stitching memorializes the leather wrapped steering wheel and piping on 3 of the seats. The driver’s seat is blue with black piping, setting it apart from the other seats. Also inside the Mopar “13 Dodge Dart is a floating island bezel accented with Mopar blue and black chrome.
Mopar has been on the cutting edge of car tech for some time. Of the 500,000 parts and accessories Mopar has created notable ones are the first Wi-Fi hotspot, the first electronic owner manuals, vehicle information apps, and WiTECH- the first supported software updates and vehicle diagnosis.
Mopar’s trademark is in their unique limited edition accessories. Each of the 500 Mopar ’13 Dodge Darts will have a personalized owner kit that contains date of manufacture, ID number (of 500), and a personalized plate with the specs. The owner kit will also have a kitch of the vehicle signed by Mark Trostle, Chief Designer of the Mopar Brand. Personalize the Mopar ’13 Dodge Dart further with a number of exterior graphic styles, from a fully painted hood or truck, to racing stripes styles on the side.
