The 2018 Ford F-150 sports new style and powertrain upgrades.
Motortrend’s 2018 Truck of the Year comes hard for 2018 with an enhanced powertrain featuring dual direct and port injection and new standard drive modes.
The 2018 Ford F-150 is available now with 7 unique models: the base XL, XLT, Platinum, Limited grade and the modded out King Rang, Lariat, and F-150 Raptor. New features include standard Auto Start-Stop for all engines, all-new 3.3-liter V6 with port and direct-injection technology and flex-fuel capability (late availability), and electronic six-speed automatic transmission with selectable drive modes – normal, tow/haul and sport.
Electronic 10-speed automatic features selectable drive modes – normal, tow/haul, snow/wet, eco-select and sport which is standard with all-new 2.7-liter EcoBoost®, 3.5-liter EcoBoost and 5.0-liter V8 engines.
The second-generation 2.7-liter EcoBoost now has advanced dual port and direct injection technology. Enhanced 5.0-liter V8 has refined its advanced dual port and direct-injection technology and added spray-on bore liner technology. Major exterior freshening across lineup includes new grilles, bumpers, lighting, tailgate outer, appliqués and wheels.
Interior freshening on XLT Sport, XLT Special Edition, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited includes color and material changes for seats, instrument panel and console trim.
The cabin of the King Ranch features Kingsville leather, while the F-150 Platinum features Dark Marsala and the F-150 Limited has Navy Pier leather. Leather-trimmed bucket seats with flow-through console are available on base Lariat. An all-new B&O PLAY™ Premium Audio System by HARMAN is available. SYNC® Connect is optional on XLT and Lariat, and standard on King Ranch, Platinum and Limited. The F1-150 now offers wireless connectivity for up to 10 devices.
