The all-new BMW Alpina B7 xDrive continues the gilded legacy of the last 2 Alpina 7 Series whips. The ultra-lux sedan has a carbon fiber body and advanced suspension with 600 horsepower and xDrive all-wheel drive.
The Alpina B7 illustrates a bolder look with a luxurious cabin and turbo drivetrain unhinged. The fresh whip emphasizes youthful sophistication paired with a pristine powertrain and high-tech driving dynamics.
The Alpina B7 comes standard with either a blue metallic or green metallic paint job with other BMW 7 Series colors also available.
The Alpina B7 blends form and function. Aerodynamic elements like the front and rear spoiler and openings at the front enhance the sleek frame. The familiar BMW kidney grille is fitted with an integrated air flap control system that adapts to cooling needs and reduce aerodynamic drag. And the whip features a stainless steel sport exhaust system with integrated twin tailpipes.
The Alpina B7 is fitted with 20 inch Alpina classic wheels with 20 spokes and concealed air valves. Twenty-one inch forged wheels are available without concealed air flaps. The sedan is fitted with Michelin performance tires standard.
The lush tech-advanced Alpina B7 cabin features Nappa leather, a full-color Heads-up Display and LED ambient lighting. The sport steering wheel is made with Lavalina leather with blue and green stitching. Myrtle Luxury Wood or Timeless Piano Lacquer trims the cabin of the Alpina B7, which also has its special badging.
The Alpina B7 boasts a 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 with 600 horsepower at 5759 rpm and 590 lb-ft of torque. That’s very impressive for this exclusive lux sedan. More amazing, the whip sprints to 60 mph from a standing stop in just 3.6 damn seconds! Power delivery is immaculate across the rpm range thanks in-part to max airflow.
Active exhaust valves allow drivers to switch the roar of the engine to Comfort & Sport modes with Driving Dynamics Control.
Driving Dynamic Control has Comfort, Sport, and Individual modes that can adjust driving settings independently. Overall, a max ride height of 1.6 inches can be configured.
The V8 is matched to an 8-speed Sport Automatic Transmission with Alpina Switch-Tronic designed with ZF, so I’m sure its badass. The automatic transmission boasts shifts at 1/10 of a second and will hold my rpms up in anticipation of upshifting.
Even deeper, the clairvoyant 8-speed automatic has Connect Shift that uses new data to anticipate shift strategy and Coasting technology that levels engine power for cruising.
For the first time, the all-new BMW Alpina B7 xDrive features Integral Active Steering which combines a variable ration electric steering system at the front axle and active steering at the rear axle. The rear-wheel steering of Integral Active Steering gives the whip unparalleled dynamic performance and light-footed handling.
The Alpina B7 also features a 2-axle air suspension system with Dynamic Damper Control and Active Comfort Drive with Road Preview.
Lastly the Alpina B7 has an intelligent AWD system and advanced Dynamic Stability Control that offers a more rear-wheel drive bias torque distribution in DTC mode.
