#ScionMotivate is literally sweeping across the nation joining entrepreneurs with dreamers and dream makers. The Motivatour treks through Miami, LA, Philly, Chicago, and Las Vegas, with a networking cocktail party and a “pitchathon”, a pitch contest for new business owners to try to promote their ideas to a successful entrepreneurs in a new Scion Xb. Winners are given a pledge by Scion to help jumpstart their business and the opportunity to have their pitch shown at a big networking party in their respective cities.
Scion’s Motivatour- as it’s called, is a part of Scion’s ongoing commitment to helping entrepreneurs grow their ventures with insights and networking opportunities.
The Chicago event, held on April 15th, was packed with hundreds of local movers and shakers in many different industries. Goal-driven millennials got the opportunity to check out clips from the pitchathon, network with influencers and successful business owners, and hear some great discussions led by mentors and Jake Nickell, CEO of Threadless, Tricia Meyer, Eric Kass, Funnel Founder, Joe Luchese, and John Hall, CEO of Influence & Co.- all while checking the sexy new FR-S and the new Tc. The special edition F-RS is tricked out with a black pack, refined lux sport interior, and new high performance trans.
Doug Murtha, VP of the Scion Group was also there to chat with fans about their sexy new 2016 whips.
Mentors that participated in the pitchathon were there like Billy Dec, Co-Owner of Rockit Ranch Productions and Charles Adler, a Co-Founder of Kickstarter.
All of the speakers gave great insight on their journeys. Tricia Meyer reminded business owners to get all their agreements in order that may come back to bite you after the biz blows up. While Eric Kass told the crowd about how he uses his unique voice to create pieces of purposeful installations for artists.
Jack Nickell was the most inspiring of the speakers. He started Threadless from his room 15 years ago and credits his creative thirst for his success. Nickell told the crowd to “keep making stuff” – building upon the passion of creating to build the brand.
April 30th the Motivatour rolled through LA featuring Brian Foley of Buddy Fruck, Ben Russo of EMC Brewery, Joan Gray Emmer of Bridge, Freya Estreller of Ludlow’s Cocktails, and Beth Duane of Rentees.
