Though owner Rick Mancuso says he whips the Aston Martin models most often, he can’t deny the popularity of his Ferrari dealership. Ferrari is the top seller of the 5 dealerships at Lake Forest Sportscars. And LFSC offers a plethora of new and used, even classic models from the Fiorano and the F355 Challenger to the fresh new 458 Speciale. The 458 Speciale and the LaFerrari are two sexy Ferraris poised to kill the game in 2014.

The 458 Speciale is said to be the most powerful performance driven road whip in Ferrari’s history. Mostly because of advanced aerodynamics and a beastly V8 engine. Sophistication, speed, and sexiness harmonize in the design of the 458 Speciale. As part of the active aerodynamics system front flaps open and close as the Speciale exceeds 90 mph reducing drag and balancing downforce. This with other performance oriented design cues make the 458 Speciale one of the most aerodynamically efficient range production cars Ferrari has ever made. In the future, all Ferraris will utilize the active aerodynamics system.

The 458 Speciale comes with a direct injected V8 engine with 597 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. This V8 is said to be the most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever built for the road. Ferrari’s 458 Speciale goes from 0-62 in 3 seconds with a max speed of 202 mph. Dizzzam! And lightweight design cues help the Speciale have an impressive weight to power ratio at 7.16 lbs/ kW.

The 458 Speciale comes with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The vehicle dynamics sub system includes the Side Slip Angle Control system for supreme agility at very high speeds.

The La Ferrari combines hybrid technology with thrilling performance for an all-around lighter more efficient sports car. The HY-KERS hybrid technology is experimental for Ferrari, as a full electric vehicle wouldn’t be ideal for this sports car. HY-KERS technology assures that the La Ferrari emits only 333g/km of CO₂.

Coupled with a 6262cc  V12 engine, La Ferrari’s hybrid system is composed of 2 electric motors- one for power to the wheels and the other the ancillaries. The 6.3 liter V12 engine produces 789 horsepower with a max 9,250 rpm. The 120Kw electric motor has 161 hp for a combined output of 909 horsepower! Torque tops 900 Nm. Wowsers!

The La Ferrari is pretty much the fastest most expensive Ferrari ever!  It takes many design cues from high performance F1 vehicles, specifically the interior design which features 4 types of carbon fiber laminated and autoclave-cured in Ferrari’s racing department. Also F1 inspired is the F1 dual-clutch gearbox that allows for torque to be easily redistributed to the wheels and unused torque to aid battery recharging. La Ferrari also has a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual capabilities and a top speed of 227 mph.

The HY-KERS system blends perfectly with the V12 because of its sports active aerodynamics system that adjusts and deploys based on performance parameters measured continuously. The Brembro Brakes system features lightweight calipers and carbon ceramic discs.

With all the lighter-more rigid La Ferrari offers under the hood, it spares no expense with its swagged-out youthful sporty design. LaFerrari has 19-inch Pirelli P Zero tires in the front and 20-inch wheels in the rear. And the sloping body and sharp wings are throwback to the Ferrari’s of the 1960’s. The La Ferrari’s bold sexy design for the road gives an instant hard-on, while its powertrain is orgasmic. The La Ferrari goes from 0-60 mph in 3 seconds!

The Ferrari LaFerrari retails for $1,200,000
