Last month Lamborghini unveiled the most stuntastic whip of the year, the 2014 Veneno Roadster. Only 9 of these exclusive 4.5 million dollar whips will be sold for Lambo’s 50th Anniversary. The street-legal Veneno Roadster prototype is a 2-seater with no roof- only a rollover bar, that’s designed for supreme racing efficiency. The precise lines at the front end act as an aerodynamic wing and the rear has an adjustable wing. Other features like the large air intakes and the carbon fiber ring around the alloy wheels’ rims ventilate the engine components and redirect airflow.
The Veneno Roadster comes with a 6.5 liter 12-cylinder engine with an output of 750 horsepower. The Veneno Roadster has 221 mph on the dash and goes from 0-62 in 2.9 seconds. Dizzam!! And the all-wheel-drive Lambo Veneno has the familiar ISR transmission with 5 driving modes and utilizes pushrod suspension with horizontal spring/damper units.
The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster benefits from CFRP design elements. Carbon fiber reinforced polymer adorns the door sills and many exterior parts. CarbonSkin, woven carbon fiber comprises the bucket seats and the headliner. No doubt the lightweight carbon fiber composites and the sharp aerodynamic design help the Veneno Roadster accelerate, corner, and brake with racing accuracy. And the 3, 278 lbs Roadster has a power to weight ratio of just 4.38 lbs/ hp. I don’t expect to see any of these whips on the road, so I’ll drool over the sexy pics.
