The new Rolls-Royce Wraith is the ultimate gentleman’s premium luxury sedan, with superior craftsmanship, an exciting powertrain, and new driver focused technologies. The Rolls-Royce Wraith embodies Rolls-Royce’s classic character with unparalleled elegance, but adds a touch of youthful flair to appeal to the affluent driver.
A dramatic two-toned color scheme, deeply recessed grille, and sweeping fastback design combines executive swag with a stylish sedan. In addition, the Wraith is lower and shorter with a wider rear track, which makes the Wraith a more agile speed machine. The Wraith has a 6.6 liter V12 engine with 624 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. With an 8-speed automatic ZF transmission, the powerful Wraith goes from 0-60 in 4.4 seconds.
The interior is where Rolls-Royce always leaps ahead of the competition. The Wraith’s interior features hand crafted leather and Canadel Panelling wood that cocoons passengers in premium luxury. The Wraith also has a new Starlight Headliner, with 1,340 fibre optic lamps hand woven in the roof lining that makes it look like a starry sky.The 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith also has the impressive Satellite Aided Transmission, technology which uses terrain predictions with GPS navigation to determine the best applicable gear. I’m hoping that suspension and steering are adjusted as part of the SAT technology.
The Rolls-Royce Wraith also comes standard with key less entry, the Heads Up Display, and driver-focused technologies like the voice activated commands with steering wheel controls. Touch screen monitors where navigation can be drawn in is additional flair that may or may not prove useful and not distracting.
The 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith will go on sale in late 2013 for approximately $322,000 in the US.
