Just in time for the New York International Auto Show this weekend Buick debuts the 2014 LaCrosse. The Front Wheel Drive and All Wheel Drive models will boost Buick’s infamy for luxury and sophisticated cool. I’ve been a fan of the LaCrosse for years now and the 2014 models offer immense luxury and advanced safety innovations. “We’ve evolved the interior and exterior design increased luxury amenities, and enhanced the safety and personal technologies to give customers more reasons than ever to rediscover Buick,” says Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of Buick Marketing.
While the exterior has a few new design cues, the most stylish being the wing shaped LED daytime running lamps and LED wraparound tail lamps, the main design of the exterior has the classic sophisticated player body style. The interior of the Buick with the Ultra Luxury Package is sexy noir with Sangria colored seats, Ebony accents, and Shadow Tamo Ash Wood. Semi aniline leather covers a lot of the interior with the door pillars and headliner covered in synthetic suede.
The 2014 Buick LaCrosse FWD has a 2.4 Liter 4-cylinder engine with 182 horsepower and 172lb-ft of torque. The all-wheel-drive LaCrosse has a 3.6 Liter V6 engine with 362 horsepower and 264lb-ft of torque. Both models have a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Buick rolls out a ton of safety features with the 2014 LaCrosse including Lane Change Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Collision Preparation, Side Blind Zone Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
The 2014 Buick LaCrosse goes on sale this summer with hopes to beat out the Lincoln MKZ and the Lexus ES 350.
